We don’t want to disappoint our readers that’s why as promised and due to popular demand, here is our tutorial on how to manually reset Canon printers without using any software.
SIGNS THAT YOUR PRINTER NEEDS RESETTING
Reset Canon G3000, G3100, G3200, G3400, G3500, G3900. Step 1: Enter Service Mode. Turn off the printer. Press as well as concur the Stop button. Press as well as concur the Power button.

So can’t reset by this tool. Download and extract ST4905 zip 2. Open extracted folder and run ST4905.exe.
How to Manually Reset Canon Printers Without Using Any Software
STEP 1: Make sure that your printer is turned on.
STEP 2: Press the power button (this will turn off/switch off your printer)
STEP 3:Once turned off, press on STOP button for two (2) seconds.

STEP 4:While holding on to the STOP button, press the power button at the same time for two (2) seconds and release the STOP button.
STEP 5: After letting go of the STOP button (while you are still pressing the power button), press the STOP button five (5) times.

That’s it! You’re done! Your Canon printer will now go on reset mode. The LCD screen on printer should go blank. Your printer will start making a couple of noises but it’s normal. Once the printer stopped making noises, just press on the power button. This will turn off or restart your printer.

Before using this software, make sure your Canon printer can enter into “service mode”, each printer has a different way to get into “service mode”. In general, here’s how to enter service mode on a Canon printer.

- Press and hold Resume button then press the Power button.
- Keep pressing the Power button and release the Resume button.
- Then press the 5x Resume button.
- Then release all the Power & Resume buttons.
- The power LED will blink and you’re in Service Mode and your printer ready to reset.
